This webinar will explore the impact that low health literacy has on cancer prevention and treatment, and provide resources that health professionals, patients, and caregivers can use to improve health literacy and effective patient-provider communication.

About the Speaker:
Christian Minter, MLIS is a health sciences librarian, and the Nebraska Outreach/Education Coordinator for the National Network of Libraries of Medicine, MidContinental Region. She is located at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE. Christian provides state-wide outreach and training on health information resources to health professionals, educators, and the general public. She has experience with providing health information in a clinical setting, and is passionate about equipping health professionals and patients with skills to identify and use evidence-based information to make informed healthcare decisions.
